Kid Reservations & Sales Policy
If you are interested in reserving a kid from one of our planned breedings, please contact us to be added to our reservation list. We are always happy to talk through pairings and help you decide what might be the best fit for your herd.
To reserve the option to purchase a kid, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance is due within 10 days of notification of birth.
If your preferred kid is not available or does not meet our quality standards, your deposit may be transferred to another available kid, rolled over to the following kidding season, or applied as farm credit toward a future animal.
If a doe were to pass away with outstanding reservations, those holding reservations may transfer to another available kid or apply their deposit as farm credit.
All deposits are non-refundable. If a buyer chooses to cancel a sale, monies paid will not be refunded.
Live Animal Deposits
For kids already born and offered for sale, a deposit of 50% of the purchase price is required to hold the animal.
Kids should be picked up or transported within two weeks of deposit unless prior arrangements are made. After two weeks, the animal may be offered to another home or a boarding fee of $70 per week may be applied.
Deposits may be transferred to another available animal, but cancelled purchases are not refunded.
Raising & Pick-Up
All kids are raised on heat-treated colostrum and pasteurized milk.
Kids are typically ready to leave as bottle babies at four weeks of age. Local, experienced bottle homes may be approved slightly earlier. If transport is required, kids will be ready between four and five weeks of age.
We ask that kids be picked up at four weeks unless other arrangements are made. After that time, a $10 per day boarding fee may apply.
If purchasing multiple kids born at different times, we will consider holding them so they may travel together, though this cannot always be guaranteed.
Shipping and transportation are the responsibility and expense of the buyer.
Reservations & Pricing
Prices listed on our reservation list are subject to change after kids are born and evaluated.
To lock in pre-kidding pricing, please confirm your reservation by email or phone.
After kids are born and evaluated for structure and quality, purchase prices may increase.
Registration & Program Standards
All of our goats are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). Registration papers and transfer will be provided at time of purchase, with transfer fees the responsibility of the buyer.
We reserve the right to retain any kid from any breeding, and we reserve the right to refuse a sale at any time.
Goats are herd animals and thrive with companionship. We will not sell a single goat to a home without other goats unless more than one kid is being purchased.
All animals leave our farm healthy and well cared for. However, once they leave our property, we cannot guarantee future health, growth, production, or show results, as management and genetic expression are beyond our control.
We require first right of refusal should you decide to sell one of our animals in the future. We may also retain future collection rights on bucks, at our expense, unless otherwise agreed upon.
